I went backpacking in those mountains in your third shot about 3 years ago. While we were cooking and eating dinner from 7:00 - 8:00pm, we could see all the heavies heading east from KLAX to Europe. British Airways, Lufthansa, Iberia, United, American, and Air France. We were camping at 8,000 feet, so they planes appeared very close.

I really enjoy x-plane. I think the clouds are excellent and the planes are well done. I still have not bought a plane yet but I did buy the KORD scenery and it looks good except for a few night time issues with the lights from the scenery not lighting up my plane. But I guess that is a little picky.

Hope you got the PMDG 777. I have it and it's really great. The programming of the FMS for the PMDG version is the best I've seen of any FMS. It handles everything very smoothly and exactly as expected. No surprises.
