Thanks to Wayne Pierce for his great patience with me on tonight's KDCA-KJAX group flight. I have two buttons on my joystick, one for ATC mic, one for teamspeak mic. Tonight I hit the teamspeak mic 30 out of 40 times I should have hit the ATC mic. The first couple times, Wayne would politely say, "I think you meant to call Jacksonville". Around #20 it had shortened down to MIKE!!
Or was he saying MIC!!
I guess we'll never know.
Thanks Wayne.

I was planning on making it, but the family decided it was time for some hot wings instead.

That is funny !Michael Blakely wrote:. The first couple times, Wayne would politely say, "I think you meant to call Jacksonville". Around #20 it had shortened down to MIKE!! Or was he saying MIC!!
We all do it, and yes even I have. . . maybe.
It is sometimes comical to hear one of us respond to our TSP chatter on the ATC channel, that causes some confusion to the controllers. Who's Talking?
I have one button on the yoke (ATC) and one on keyboard(TSP). I fly with my left hand and forefinger on the TSP button all the time. I really do not have to but it is seems at home there.

Yeah, I logged on to fly the GFI Friday but had to terminate because I also got called by the family to do something.Norberto Rivera wrote: I was planning on making it, but the family decided it was time for some hot wings instead.
I use the keyboard for my mic buttons. The left CNTL key is ATC comm and the right CNTL key is for Teamspeak comm. This usually keeps me from using the wrong key but it does happen on occasion.Wayne Pierce wrote:That is funny !Michael Blakely wrote:.
