The day has finally arrived. Ted Martin officially lays day another brick (his 69th) and launches into working on his 70th!
As his senior (by 4 months), I have a few words of advice:
-- So far, so good. You can be encouraged that others are ahead of us keeping up the pace (like Jerry Swalling).
-- Carpe Diem. Squeeze the life out of every day. Daily naps are for old f@rts and we aren't near there yet.
But, most of all, celebrate this day with family (including your AAV family) and friends.
I just bought the Captain Sim 757-200 (after the first major patch) for P3Dv4. Time to make the leap to P3Dv4, Ted. That could be your birthday treat!
Happy Birthday CDR Ted!!!

HA! Happy Bertday™ Ted!!!
I guess I'm an old f@rt at heart because I'm down for mid-day naps.

Re: Happy Birthday CDR Ted!!!
Thanks for the well wishes guys.
Harold, I always seem to catch up with you only to fall behind again. ...funny ow that works . All I do hope is that our tag team scenario continues on for another 30 or so years.
We had a great family gathering. By the way, I had already told the family what I wanted for my birthday (spa massage) but had planned to drop the P3D ticket for Father's Day. I was surprised after the gathering that my sons had planned to get me a TrackIR and HOTAS joystick. However when they started looking into ordering them they were overwhelmed with the choices and weren't sure what would work. I'm glad they didn't buy it because I really wasn't planning to go the TrackIR route. From what I've heard most people get them but don't use them because they are disorientating. Anyone can chime in here and give me their opinion if I'm off base.
My sons thought I would be into combat fighter simulation and asked me about it. I told them to do combat you need the HOTAS, and during the conversation I think I may have mentioned the TrackIR. That's where they got the idea.
Anyway I'm getting P3D and maybe the HOTAS. I'm not sure yet about the TrackIR. Maybe I should hold out for some of the VR stuff that is out now.
