Tom Pletzke retirement
Tom Pletzke has announced his retirement from hub management and regular flying a AAVirtual. He will be joining the sunburned pilots in bright Hawaiian shirts at our KPSP retirement hub. Tom joined AAVirtual in 2005. He became hub manager way back before my records start, which is 2008. This means Tom has been hub manger for over 10 years! Tom has been very active with 364 flights, and 1,456 hours, and retires with our highest rank of Commander.
Please join me in thanking Tom for his service to AAVirtual and his contributions to our community.
Mike Blakely will manage day to day operations at KMIA until a replacement hub manager is selected.

Tom, it's people like you stepping up and giving who have made this virtual airline experience the great adventure it has and continues to be. Thanks for all the hours you have put in.
Don't be a stranger. Stop by and share -- especially about X-Plane. I continue to play around with it. Just completed my latest FREQ with an X-Plane E175 flight.

Re: Tom Pletzke retirement
Thanks guys. I am going into retirement but I enjoyed every minute of American Airlines Virtual. X-Plane is my simulation of choice but the competition is very good now with P3Dv4. Both are looking good. I like x-plane and xenviro. But P3Dv4 is looking good too.
I wish you all the best,
Tom

Happy retirement Tom. I left a key to the PSP pilot's lounge at the service counter for you. Don't tell Blakely I re-appropriated the cappuccino machine out of LAX.

So I step away for a little while and then I return to find out of all people Bert relocated my cappuccino machine? I was wondering where that went when I returned to my office. Anyways happy retirement Tom. Before I took over the duties at LAX, I was Tom's Assistant Hub Manager for a little while. Very nice and professional man to work under. He taught me well on the day to day operations of the hub and made my transition to LAX that much smoother. Thank you Tom for all you have done here at AAV and enjoy the retirement.
