KLAX Plane Spotting

Post by Michael Blakely »

I drove through LA a few weeks ago and spent some time around KLAX. Some things I noticed:

1. Quantas has a huge new hangar for their A380's on the west end of the airport

2. They are doubling the size of the international terminal. They are erecting the steel framework. (photo 1)

3. The park next to the In-N-Out Burger stand is still a great place to spot planes close up (photo 2). It never gets old for me. Note the "clouds" in the distance of the JAL landing shot, they are smoke from the big Woolsey fire in Malibu.
