APRIL Theme Flight Shots
Thanks to Wayne Pierce for posting and providing routing of the April theme flight. It took a little longer than I anticipated but since I haven't flown this a/c in a long time it was really fun. Here's my attempt at documenting and sharing my trip.
To start the flight I'm getting the catering loaded to make the passengers happy.
Now getting baggage and cargo loaded...
With everything loaded, including the passengers of course, it's time for push and start.
With tow truck now disconnected and engines spooling up, I'll be ready for final checks and taxi to runway
On runway starting my roll...
Being vectored to the first waypoint on the SID...
Clear skies and no turbulence as I climb to cruse altitude.

Re: APRIL Theme Flight Shots
At FL400 and encountering a large cloud bank.
Got a break in the clouds just in time to see the mountains in Colorado as I start my descent.
Back into clear, beautiful scenery I start my turn toward the ariport.
From the "office" I have the runway in sight. Autopilot brought me in too fast so I've taken manual control. Just prior to touchdown...
At the gate with engines shutting down and just about to start the deboarding process.
Hope everyone enjoyed the pics. It was a great flight and good to get back into the 777. I have it for FSX but now that I've switched to P3D I can't bring myself to spent another $100 for the same a/c in P3D. Sooner or later I will break down and purchase another 777 or maybe I'll get the iFly 747. The iFly 737NG is one of my favorite a/c.

Sweet shots!
I hope I can carve out some time the last weekend of April to fly it.

Re: APRIL Theme Flight Shots
I just did some research to see if anything as big as a 777 has ever landed at KEGE. Biggest aircraft I can find evidence for is a 757.

Re: APRIL Theme Flight Shots
Yes you are probably correct. I knew the 777 was large for KEGE but with a 9,000 ft. rwy I thought I could get it in, and it gave me an excuse to fly the 777. My autopilot brought me in too fast on the approach so when I switched to manual and landed, I used every bit of the runway to get her stopped (stopped just before the last turnoff).Michael Blakely wrote: ↑04-14-2019 10:13 AM I just did some research to see if anything as big as a 777 has ever landed at KEGE. Re: APRIL Theme Flight Shots
Nice shots!!
The air up there in the clouds is very pure and fine, bracing and delicious. And why shouldn't it be?--it is the same the angels breathe.
