New Video. A day in the life of AAV.com pilot

Post by Omar Campanalunga »

The air up there in the clouds is very pure and fine, bracing and delicious. And why shouldn't it be?--it is the same the angels breathe.

OUTSTANDING video Omar :o :D . You have a talent for videos. We should put that on the VA webpage to help recruit new pilots.

Now....inquiring minds want to know....
1. What sim was that?
2. Who's a/c was that?
3. What weather program do you use (that was the best rain simulation I've seen)?

Thanks for posting.

Omar,
A/C = aircraft.

So that's X-Plane...I'm impressed with it's weather presentation. Is that a payware aircraft (a/c) or does it a default X-Plane a/c?

It is a payware. I have only 2 payware in X-plane,767-300ER from Flight Factor and SSGE 170 and 195 EVO for long and short distance. if you are thinking about a Sim change I recommend waiting for the new FS2020 and compare but it is just my personal opinion.

(I initially posted this in the wrong thread AND to the wrong person! Getting old ain't for sissies.

Great job, Omar!!

That landing had me leaning to the right. I would realize what I was doing, and straighten in the chair only to find myself leaning right again trying to help you fight that crosswind!! Total immersion!!!!!

I moved from FSX to P3D in the summer of 2018. I looked at X-Plane and Aerofly FS2 but decided on P3D because I could at lease port over some of my payware a/c or get significant discounts on re-purchasing P3D planes that would not port over. I've noticed there is a lot of support for X-Plane by scenery and payware a/c manufactures, and it is getting a lot of media attention.

As for FS2020, I'm curious to see how good it is when released and how it will be offered. However, I will probably wait a year or so before seriously considering moving to it (will probably require a new computer).
