Well, we will then have new aircraft to add to the "Retro only club". To be able to fly the MD 80, 757 you will need the retro endorsement after making captain. :)

I will have to relearn the "Airboos©", Scarebus©, Airbus, all over again. :(

Something tells me they're just trying to put pressure on Boeing to come up with a better option for the airline. The whole point of retiring the A300's was to have an all-Boeing fleet in order to reduce maintenance costs. Considering that the last A300 flight was in 2009, I don't see how they have had a chance to "reap in the savings" yet.
