Thanks Jeff, Yep it works that way also. And for those of us whom did not put the FSX in the other directory, here is another work around.

This also from the SB4 forum. I use this method. Start SB4 outside the FSX program. By this I mean do not start SB4 using the FSX menu bar at the top. Start SB4 from its own .exe file from a shortcut placed on your desktop. It will then work and not hang up or give you those nasty white menus saying it has stopped and needs input.

Craig Meyer wrote: it works, however it is now running as an outside program so when Im running FS, if i click on SB, to type a message, see freq's, or any other reason........FSX will pause which can be bothersome if you do it at the wrong time as your plane is now stopped.

In regards to putting FSX in a new location......can i just move it or do i have to un-install and re-install the program?
1. I believe it may be your computerand its operation. Mine does not stall out or "freeze" it keep on flying
Windows needs to be "focused" again once you click away from it. One has to click on the item to wake it up and then click again to execute.

2. Your need to uninstall and reinstall as registry things will then occur, big problems. Also almost all the addons will and are geared to operate and load with the FSX in the default location. One really has to watch where programs are installing and operating to then.

My cockpit has 3x computers with 4 monitors going. The FSX computer uses two monitors, one is for the aircraft, 2nd for SB4, TSP3, text programs, opening PDF's, etc..

#2 computer is for FScommander and the D-TPP program (charts), FSACARS,

#3 computer is for Active sky, servinfo (vatsim) internet usage during flight ops.

I can use all three for FS WIDEVIEW and extend my cockpit over 5' in width in front of me, if I desire.

Adding a 2nd monitor, if your video card will handle it helps greatly. Using FSUIPC Widefs, for the other computers shares the load so one computer doesn't have to use so many resources.
Of course all this compounds any problems one has by 3x's.

My simple setup.
