You will need to purchase a license for each, FSUIPC and the wide FS module.
I use them on my 3 machines for dividing up the load. There are some programs that I personally cannot get to hook up thru widefs, but that is my problem not the program.
I use it all the time.

Re: WideFS Question
I cannot get my computers to read the SB4 wideFS, and the new Active sky evolution. I have tried all the forum hints and even talk thru with live people. It isn't happening for me.Ellis Mendez hidaka wrote:Thank you Wayne.
I got confused because they have two separate registrations, one for each, so doesn't make it very clear.
Which programs are you having problems with?
What I do use it for is is ACTIVE sky 6 on one computer, FSCommander,FSACARS on another.
I use REX graphics only not the weather generator, so I don't open it up at all.

Re: WideFS Question
Took a long time, heh?Ellis Mendez hidaka wrote:I got widefs to connect to FSX (around 3am last night! ), and FSC to be able to connect to FSX as well. However, I'm having problems trying to add the path to the FS Flight Plans folder in FSC. For some reason the Path list of drives only shows me the local C drive and non of the shared drives... Did you have this problem
I was struggling with it until I saw the little line for changing the IP address on Widefs cfg. Then it worked quick. I use my local network IP and not the web based one.
FSC will not let me change the directory and then have it remain in force. What I do is have quick links on the desktop of the FSC computer and then just move via the homegroups, the files for flight plans to the flight computer with a couple of mouse clicks. A work around.
