Re: Troublemakers on VATSIM
yes I have. I was just about ready to land at SEA if I remember right from PHX and I was on final about 5 miles out, all of a sudden somebody joined the session of course right on the active runway that I was landing on. I had collisions on and by the time I saw the aircraft sitting on the runway I landed right on top of him. I thought at first he was holding short right next to the runway, that's why I continued the landing since it was night and couldn't really see where he was since he had no landing or taxi lights on just the beacons. Sent me all the way back to the gate at PHX. Not again they are off now, I won't fly online with crash detection on anymore.

Re: Troublemakers on VATSIM
I've never had this issue of someone intentionally trying to crash me. I have had occasions were someone was slewing all different directions across the airfield or was continually buzzing the field.

Re: Troublemakers on VATSIM
There is or was a regulation/suggestion, for the VATSIM network that when flying on VATSIM the crash is to be turned off.
A crash, while activated on FS, would disrupt the flow of traffic and ATC on the VATSIM net.
Just like what happend, Wayne, you would start over somewhere.

Re: Troublemakers on VATSIM
I've had the problem also; several times in fact. Usually I get their ID number and open a private message. Hate to be unprofessional, but I then berate the shit out of them until they log off! It has worked on more than one occassion! I have sent one wallop, but I have no idea what VATSIM did about it. They never followed up with me.
