some questions about AAV recorder

Post by Maratib Ali »

Hi AAV,
i know pausing and slewing will make the data corrupt but what if i just wanted to look at the map or change fuel level? in my checkride once i tookoff i found that plane was constantly turning right and looking at fuel percentage confirmed that i accidently misbalanced it,so went to fuel and payload and corrected, now i am worried that the data might have become corrupt,i also looked at map during checkride. So will data be fine or do i have to make the flight again?

Maratib, It is possible that you may have corrupted the flight. True if you pause, slew or go x-speed it will/may corrupt the checkride.

I have flown using the AAV recorder to see what happens with things you do.

First off if you look at the FS map while you are flying this is almost on the verge of taking the checkride unfairly, as you can see where your at and the waypoints will be seen in which your supposed to be navigating to using your NAV radios. Messing with the fuel and the map may cause the Recorder to read it as a Pause function.

The only thing to do is submit it and if it works or not, we at the training department will let you know.
