World Flight 2018

Post by Theodore Martin »

For those that don't know World Flight is a charitable event that happens in November every year. Several of the teams are flying fixed-base full simulators and stream live video during the event. I normally try to fly with them if I'm able. It's kinda neat to see the a/c on the network taxing out and seeing what is happening inside the a/c at the same time.

Here's a screen shot I took while flying with them this weekend. Lots of traffic and they had to "rack and stack" us going into one of the airports. There were no holds at other airports but we did get vectored for sequencing sometimes.

Here are a couple of links to some team web sites. The Australia team site has links to other team sites.

According to VAT-Spy, today at 2:00p CST they were getting back to Australia flying into YPDN, so they only have about 4 or 5 legs remaining. I may join them for the last 1 or 2 legs after flying our GFI this evening.
