MSFS Problem Starting on Runway with Imported Flight Plan

When setting up a flight plan MSFS 2020 by importing flight plan from SimBrief (don't think this is unique to SimBrief), I was always started on a runway, and if I changed the departure location dropdown to a gate or ramp position, it would immediate change the selected dropdown back to the runway ... or so it appeared. Googled and found the below workaround. I tried it, and this process works!

"As longs as you select the starting position from the dropdown menu (after loading the SB-flightplan) all should be good. Selecting it from the map will mess the plan up. Also take note that the menu may still show (or revert to) the runway as your starting selection: just zoom in to the plan and you should see you're starting position is still the selected spot. It's a bit buggy.."

Thanks Harold. I disliked always starting on the RWY. I moved the aircraft manually back to a gate.
